With the win, Michigan improves to 6-2 on the season.
Monday's contest was the first-ever meeting between Michigan and Concordia.
Michigan had two players record double-doubles (Zack Novak and Darius Morris) for the first time since Manny Harris and DeShawn Sims each recorded a double-double against Creighton in the Old Spice Classic last season (Nov. 26, 2009).
Zack Novak recorded his second straight double-double, scoring 12 points (4-of-10) and pulling down a career-best 14 rebounds. Against Harvard last Saturday (Dec. 4), Novak had 12 points and 11 rebounds. Novak added two assists.
Darius Morris scored 19 points on 8-of-15 shooting (53 percent). Morris also led the Wolverines with career-best 12 assists. This marked Morris' second double-double for the season. He also added two rebounds and two steals.
Jordan Morgan led Michigan in scoring with a career-high 23 points on 10-of-15 shooting (67 percent). He also tied a career high, pulling down eight rebounds. Morgan added an assist and a steal in the win.
Stu Douglass came off the bench to score 13 points on 5-of-9 shooting (56 percent). He became the 104th player to score 500 points in his career at Michigan. Douglass now has 503 points.
Stu Douglass hit three triples and is shooting 51 percent from behind the arc this season (18-of-35). Douglass also started the second half of the game for the second straight contest.
Tim Hardaway Jr. pulled down a career-high seven rebounds and netted eight points in the win.
Michigan had four players score double-digit points (Jordan Morgan, Darius Morris, Stu Douglass, and Zack Novak), marking the second time this season four Wolverines have reached double figures in a game. Morris, Morgan, Douglass, and Tim Hardaway Jr. all reached double figures in the win against Gardner-Webb (Nov. 21).
U-M shot 49 percent from the field (35-of-72).
Michigan scored 42 points in the first half, marking its highest first-half scoring effort for the season.
Michigan led in points in the paint (42-28) and had 17 points off offensive rebounds.
Michigan held the rebounding advantage, 46-34. The Wolverines are now 5-0 this season when they outrebound their opponent.
The Wolverines had 18 assists on 35 made field goals, and only turned the ball over eight times. This marked the first game with a positive assist/turnover ratio since the loss to Syracuse in the Legends Classic on Nov. 26.
Michigan never trailed in the game and led by as many as 21.
Seven players saw action off the bench for U-M.
The Wolverines wore their white jerseys for the fourth time this season. Michigan is now 4-0 this season when wearing white.
For the eighth straight game, Michigan went with the starting lineup of Darius Morris, Zack Novak, Tim Hardaway Jr., Evan Smotrycz, and Jordan Morgan.
