Postgame Notes: Michigan 69, Bowling Green 50

• Thursday's game marked the 12th meeting between Michigan and Bowling Green. The Wolverines are now 9-3 all-time versus the Falcons.
• The win was the 599th overall for head coach John Beilein.
• Evan Smotrycz led the Wolverines with 14 points on 4-of-6 shooting, including 3-of-5 from behind the arc, and 3-of-4 from the free throw line. He added seven rebounds and a steal in the win.
• In both of Michigan's games this year, a freshman led the team in scoring. Tim Hardaway, Jr. had 19 points in the season-opening win versus USC-Upstate.
• Darius Morris set a career high with 11 assists. Michigan had 20 assists on 26 made field goals.
• Morris tied his previous career high of seven assists in the first half. He is the last player at U-M to record 10-plus assists since Manny Harris had 11 against Creighton last season in the Old Spice Classic (Nov. 26, 2009). Morris added six points and three rebounds in the win against Bowling Green.
• Jordan Morgan had 14 points on 5-of-8 shooting, including 2-of-4 from the free throw line. Morgan tied for the team lead with eight rebounds, and added a game-high two steals in the win.
• 14 players saw action for the Wolverines tonight. 12 of the 14 recorded at least one point, and 11 had at least one field goal.
• Michigan won the rebounding battle 43-30. For the second straight game, Zack Novak held at least a share of the team-high in rebounds (8).
• Michigan held Bowling Green without a field goal for the first 7:28 of the second half. The Wolverines limited the Falcons to 20 percent shooting (5-of-25) in the second half, and 30 percent (16-of-54) for the game. Michigan held Bowling Green's starters to 18 points in the game.
• Michigan is now 28-6 under John Beilein when they hold their opponents under 60 points. Additionally, the Wolverines are 36-1 when they shoot a better percentage from the floor than their opponents.
• For the second straight game, Michigan went with the starting lineup of Darius Morris, Zack Novak, Tim Hardaway Jr., Evan Smotrycz, and Jordan Morgan.
• Thursday's game marked the first of two regional round games U-M will host as part of the Legends Classic. Michigan will host Gardner-Webb on Sunday (Nov. 21) before heading to Atlantic City, N.J. to face Syracuse (#10 AP/#11 USA Today) in the first of two Championship Round games.
