Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On tonight's win to clinch the sweep ... "It was a completely different game [from last night], obviously. They were all over us the first period and we knew they'd come out hard. They had us on our heels and I thought [Bryan] Hogan kept us in the game in the first period. Fortunately, we got the goals back that they scored and we kept the game on an even keel. We had the lead after one [period], but it very easily could have been 2-0 in the first period for them. But good for us, good for Hogan and good for our team in making our chances count. I thought we got stronger as the game went on."
On responding to each of LSSU's goals ... "Those were important goals. If you can come right back and take the momentum away from their team by scoring, that's huge. It's not by design, but it's just the way the puck bounced for us."
On the penalty-killing effort ... "The penalty killers worked hard. Penalty killing is hard work and it's sacrifice. It's winning faceoffs and getting the puck out of your zone. It's goalkeeping. They had five chances on the power play. On a different night things could have been down, but Hogan made the saves. Our penalty killers did a good job -- our defensemen, our forwards, our goalie."
U-M Freshman Forward Chris Brown
On his pair of goals ... "The first one was a great pass by Louie [Caporusso], just a great read. He created that two-on-one on the strong side. I literally just threw it at the net and I was hoping for a rebound out in front and it went in. The second one was a great pass from Carl [Hagelin]. We practice that pretty much every day and it worked out for us."
