HARDWARE COLLECTION
Michigan collected six all-tournament honors at the Eastern Championship (April 25-27). Junior Julie Hyrne became the second Wolverine named championship MVP and head coach Matt Anderson picked up his second CWPA Doc Hunkler Coach of the Year honor. Hyrne and sophomore Leah Robertson were tabbed first team all-tournament and junior Mary Chatigny was selected to the second team.
RED HOT WOLVERINES
The Wolverines enter the NCAA Championship as one of the hottest teams in the country. Michigan has amassed a program-best 33 wins this season and is riding a program-best winning streak of 27 games. U-M is on a 10-game winning streak against ranked opponent. The squad has set new team records in goals (482), points (875), shots (1,245) and DKOs (286).
U-M AT THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
Michigan owns a 1-4 record at the tournament after making appearances in 2002 and 2005. UM became the first Eastern team to win a game at the NCAA Championship when it downed Redlands in the 2005 consolation semifinal.
