Michigan Head Coach Bev Plocki
On the meet and Michigan's high score ... "Overall, I'm very happy with how our team kept its composure and held it together in a tough environment. It's a big time environment with high energy fans who are cheering for Georgia and not us. Our kids handled the pressure extremely well. We posted another season high in back-to-back meets. We have more room for improvement but we're rolling in the right direction and we're excited."
On Michigan's individual performances ... Nellie (Kippley) did the vault of her life; nailed it cold. Becky (Bernard) did her best bars routine of the season. With the team finishing on beam with almost 9,000 people going nuts, it was hard to hear yourself think, especially when they would post a floor score, so I was happy we maintained our composure there. Overall, Huneth (Lor) also had a great all-around meet Tatjana (Thuener-Rego) is hanging in their strong. It wasn't her best night but we had a good enough team effort to post a season high."
