Second-Day Action at NFCA Leadoff Classic Rained Out

COLUMBUS, Ga. -- Steady rains postponed Saturday's (Feb. 25) action at the NFCA Leadoff Classic. Play is scheduled to resume Sunday (Feb. 26) with the completion of pool play and revised bracket play.
Sunday's schedule will be finalized once weather conditions are determined. If weather conditions permit two games, Michigan will take on No. 23 North Carolina at 2 p.m. and then face Georgia Tech at 4 p.m. If weather conditions only permit a single game, Michigan will face Georgia Tech at 1 p.m. A final determination will be made Sunday morning by the tournament organizers.
Fifth-ranked Michigan (4-3) finished day one with a 1-1 record in pool play, falling 3-2 to No. 7 Alabama in nine innings and rebounding to defeat Hofstra 5-3. The Wolverines will face Georgia Tech in the finale of pool play before learning their fate for the bracket playoffs.
