Michigan improved its CCHA road record to 4-1-0 this season. Last year, U-M did not get its fourth CCHA road win until its ninth road contest on Jan. 23, 2004, at Western Michigan. The Wolverines finished 5-7-2 on the road in CCHA games in 2003-04.
Michigan has won six straight games against Bowling Green including CCHA playoff games. At BGSU Ice Arena, U-M is unbeaten (5-0-1) in its last six trips there.
Michigan's streak of successful penalty kills came to an end at 24. The streak began on Dec. 3 vs. Notre Dame and ended in the second period tonight after U-M had killed two penalties in the first period.
Michigan scored a power-play goal for the fourth straight game. U-M was 1-for-7 on the night.
David Moss scored his first game-winning goal of the season. He is the 11th different Wolverine with a game-winner.
Eric Nystrom has an assist in three straight games (0-3-3).
T.J. Hensick had his third straight multi-point game with a goal and an assist. It is his seventh multi-point game of the season and 19th of his career. He is also on a four-game point streak (5-3-8) and a three-game assist streak. Hensick leads the team in scoring with 11 goals and 13 assists for 24 points.
Jason Dest scored his first goal of the season and just the second of his career. His first came back on Jan. 23, 2004, at Western Michigan in a 4-1 triumph.
Andrew Ebbett pushed his assist streak to four games with a helper tonight. He has five assists over the span.
Jeff Tambellini has a point in three straight games. He had an assist tonight to give him a 2-3-5 line during the streak.
David Moss tied a career high with two goals. He has achieved the feat on four previous occasions, most recently on Jan. 30, 2004, vs. Lake Superior State. Moss has six points (2-4-6) in the last four games.
With a goal tonight, Brandon Kaleniecki notched tallies in back-to-back games for the first time this season.
Mike Brown has points in back-to-back games for the first time this season and only the third time in his career. He had an assist tonight matched with his first helper of the season last night.
Matt Hunwick has points in three straight contests (3-3-6) after recording two assists tonight. He had his first career hat trick last night. Hunwick has four multi-point games this season and seven for his career.
