Allen-Young Shares Big Ten Athlete of the Week Award

PARK RIDGE, Ill. -- University of Michigan graduate student Jessie Allen-Young (Loveland, Colo./Thompson Valley HS), a member of the Wolverines women's cross country team, was named Big Ten Conference co-Athlete of the Week, the league office announced Tuesday (Sept. 16). Allen-Young shares the weekly honor with Penn State's Molly Landreth.

Allen-Young's victory helped the Wolverines claim the title as the Maize and Blue scored a meet-low 33 points, 39 points fewer than the runners-up from Miami.
The Wolverines have a week off of competition before they travel to Minneapolis, Minn., for the Roy Griak Invitational Saturday, Sept. 27, on Les Bolstad Golf Course.
