COLLEGE STATION, Texas -- The No. 19-ranked University of Michigan softball team lost another contest to Mother Nature on Wednesday (Feb. 26) when its single game at No. 21 Texas A&M was cancelled due to standing water in the outfield. The game will not be rescheduled.
The Wolverines, who have had their plans affected by weather on each of the five scheduled dates so far on their spring trip, will try to play a doubleheader at Texas-San Antonio on Thursday (Feb. 27) starting at 1 p.m. CST. That twinbill was originally scheduled for Tuesday (Feb. 25) but was postponed due to foul weather.
Head coach Carol Hutchins' squad will close out its spring trip by participating in the Time Warner Cable Texas Invitational, which runs Friday through Sunday (Feb. 28-March 2) in Austin, Texas.
