Ray Shares Conference Gymnast of the Week Award

In the latest GymInfo national rankings (Feb. 18), Ray is ranked fourth on the uneven bars, 10th on the balance beam and 11th in the all-around.
This is the first time this season and second time in her career that Ray, the 2001 NCAA all-around co-champion and captain of the 2000 U.S. Olympic women's gymnastics team, has been named the conference gymnast of the week.
This is the fourth time in six weeks a Michigan gymnasts has won the weekly conference award. Sophomore Calli Ryals (Elyria, Ohio/Midview HS) became the first U-M athlete to be named the Big Ten gymnast of the week three consecutive times when she was selected for the honor on Jan. 23, Jan. 30 and Feb. 6.
Fifth-ranked Michigan (11-2, 3-0 Big Ten) hosts No. 2 Utah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday (Feb. 22) at Crisler Arena. Fans can pick up the third set of the annual U-M women's gymnastics trading cards prior to the meet and have them autographed following the competition.
