Michigan, which led 54-40 at halftime, received 23 points from sophomore guard Alayne Ingram (Lansing, Mich./Waverly HS). Ingram connected on 7-of-14 shots from the floor, including a 4-for-6 effort from three-point land.
Freshman center LeeAnn Bies (Lakeview, Mich./Lakeview HS) posted 14 points and nine rebounds for the Wolverines. Sophomore Ruth Kipping (Quincy, Ill./Quincy HS) recorded 13 points and junior Anne Thorius (Horsholm, Denmark/Rungsted Gymnasium) added 11.
Michigan played without sophomore forward Raina Goodlow (Detroit, Mich./Dominican HS), who injured her knee last week against Athletes in Action (Nov. 5). She is expected to return for the Wolverines' season opener at Colorado State.
For Soproni-Postas, five players scored in double figures, led by Szenes with 19 points. The team is now 6-1 on its U.S. exhibition tour. They will play at Michigan State tomorrow (Saturday, Nov. 13) and Purdue on Nov. 15.
The Wolverines kick off the regular season in Colorado next weekend. U-M plays at Colorado State on Nov. 19 and at Colorado on Nov. 21. Colorado State advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen last season before bowing out to UCLA. Colorado played in the Women's National Invitation Tournament, advancing to the second round.

Head Coach Sue Guevara
On the game ... "We played a good basketball team. Soproni-Postas did a really good job of spreading the floor. They really made us play one-on-one, especially on the low post. When we went into the zone, they busted out a three-pointer."
On the difference between the first and second halves ... "We didn't make the shots in the second half that we had made in the first. When we went down the floor and missed a shot, Soproni-Postas would take the ball back and score. We had shots that just would not fall. Our team was shooting the same shots, but during the second half, they just were not falling."
On Raina Goodlow's condition ... "She is going to try to practice this week. She dislocated her patella (against Athletes in Action Nov. 5)."
On preparing for the next game ... "It is little things that I think are correctable. The team doesn't like to lose, so I know that we can work on those things and get ready for Colorado State on Friday (Nov. 19). When you win, you learn, but when you lose, you also learn. We will go back and work on the defensive end of things. They are little things that can be fixed."
