Koy Detmer Jr. is in his first season with the University of Michigan football program in 2026, working with the quarterbacks.

Prior to joining the staff at U-M, Detmer Jr. spent the 2025 season with Utah and the 2024 season at New Mexico in an analyst role, also working with the team's signal callers. He spent two seasons (2022-23) as a graduate assistant at Syracuse, where he also worked with the quarterbacks.

As a player, Detmer spent three years at BYU (2015-17) and finished his career at Texas A&M Kingsville (2018-19), where he earned his degree. He also began his coaching career in Kingsville, working with running backs (2020) and wide receivers (2021).

Detmer is the son of Koy Detmer and nephew of Ty Detmer, both former NFL quarterbacks and accomplished collegiate passers.
