Jordann Reese enters her second season as an assistant coach with the Wolverines in 2026-27 after spending five seasons at Creighton, helping the Bluejays to four NCAA Tournament appearances.Â
Michigan is coming off arguably the best season in program history in 2025-26, reaching the Elite Eight for just the second time and tying the program record for wins with 28. U-M also set numerous statistical records, including points (2,880), points per game (82.3), rebounds (1,409), field goals made (1,086) and field goals attempted (2,346). The Wolverines were ranked in every Associated Press poll during the season, including a streak of 17 straight weeks in the top 10. Michigan tied for second in the Big Ten behind a 15-3 record and reached the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament for the third straight season. Michigan hosted the first and second rounds of the NCAA Tournament at Crisler Center for just the second time, advancing to the Fort Worth Region 3 regional where the Wolverines knocked off Louisville before falling to Texas in the regional final. Olivia Olson became the second Wolverine in program history to earn All-America honors, grabbing second-team honors from ESPN and The Athletic and third-team honors from the Associated Press and Sporting News. She was joined on the All-Big Ten first team by Syla Swords, with Brooke Quarles Daniels earning Big Ten All-Defensive Team plaudits.Â
Reese joined U-M after spending five seasons at Creighton, helping the Bluejays to four 20-win seasons, four NCAA Tournament appearances and the 2022 Elite Eight. Creighton won 26 games in each of the last two seasons, reaching the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2024. She helped Creighton lead the NCAA in assists (668), assists per game (20.2) and assist-to-turnover ratio (1.59) during the Bluejays’ run to the Elite Eight in 2022.

She also served as Creighton’s recruiting coordinator since the fall of 2022.

During Reese’s time at Creighton, she was instrumental in the development of the guards, with two players earning All-Big East honors in 2025. She helped coach 2,000-point scorer Lauren Jensen, a three-time All-Big East first teamer (2022-2025), AP and WBCA All-America honorable mention (2025), along with Molly Mogensen, who earned All-Big East honorable mention and won the Big East Co-Sportsmanship Award (2025) while completing her career with over 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 400 assists.

In addition to guard development, Reese oversaw Creighton’s recruiting efforts that led to the program’s best signing class in school history, ranked at No. 23 in the country for the incoming class of 2025 (ESPN). Â

Prior to her time in Omaha, Reese was at Saint Louis for five seasons from 2015-2020. The Billikens went 102-62 during her tenure, reaching the WNIT three times. During her first two seasons, Saint Louis won at least 25 wins in both en route to multiple wins in the WNIT.

She was an assistant coach for two seasons at SIU Edwardsville, highlighted by the Cougars going 19-12 and finishing third in the Ohio Valley Conference in 2014-15.

Reese got her start on the sidelines by serving as an assistant coach for two seasons at Webster, helping Webster to the championship games of the 2012 St. Louis Intercollegiate Athletic Conference tournament.

Reese played four seasons at Drake, earning a spot on the All-MVC first team in 2009, a second-team nod in 2010 and to the all-freshman team in 2006. She ranks eighth all-time in Drake history in both steals (230) and minutes played (3,700), while coming in at No. 27 in scoring with 1,343 points.

She graduated from Drake in 2010 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. She and her husband, Ryan, have a daughter, Bailey.
