The Athletic Department will have a needs based ticketing model for students who receive a federal pell grant in conjunction with Central Student Government. The Athletic Department has worked with the Office of Financial Aid to provide a more inclusive option for students with needs. Returning Students will have between February 12 and February 21 to request Michigan Athletics to check their pell grant eligibility. If confirmed, returning students will be able to purchase a reduced rate student ticket for Football, Men’s Basketball, and Ice Hockey during the returning student on sale in March. Incoming students will purchase their tickets at full price and will apply for the pell grant ticket discount when they purchase. If approved, Michigan Athletics will issue a refund for the difference in price. The deadline to apply for Need based pricing is August 15.

To be eligible to order and maintain a Michigan hockey season ticket, a student must intend to register for classes for the entire Fall 2025 term and Winter 2026 term.
The Ticket Office will check your registration status with the Registrar's Office. If you are not properly registered prior to the beginning of the season, your season ticket will be held until you provide us with proof of such registration. If you are not properly registered after the season begins, the Ticket Office will deactivate the bar code on your season tickets for the remaining games and no refund will be issued.

Hockey student seating is first-come, first-serve upon arrival at the arena. You will receive a ticket for a specific section, but may sit anywhere within that section. If you wish to sit with other hockey student season ticket holders you should arrive at Yost at the same time to ensure you are in the same section.
-
You can transfer your ticket to a student or non-student for FREE. A student ticket may be used by a non-student and does not need to be validated. However, the non-student MUST still enter through the student entrance. The deadline to transfer your ticket is the start of the game.

As a hockey student season ticker holder, your entire season ticket will be sent to you through an email from MTickets@umich.edu prior to the first game. Once you receive the email with the links to your tickets, you will need to download each ticket to your phone's wallet. Your downloaded ticket needs to be displayed on your phone and scanned for entry at the student entrance of Yost Ice Arena.
It is extremely important to download your tickets in advance of the game as there is limited cellular coverage in the vicinity of Michigan Athletic events. On gameday, you may go straight to the student entrance and present your student ticket from your phone’s wallet.
Those who receive transferred tickets will need to show their digital delivery ticket on their phone at the student entrance of Yost Ice Arena.

Scalping (selling a ticket above face value) violates University policy and Michigan law. Attempting to sell or solicit the sale of a ticket (even at face value) on campus without a permit also violates University policy. Therefore, a violation of these University policies or this Michigan law may result in your ineligibility to purchase tickets in the future even if criminal charges are not filed against you. The Athletic Department reserves the right to declare you ineligible to tickets if it receives sufficient evidence that a ticket assigned to you was sold or was offered for sale at greater than the face value of the ticket.
-
There will be no refunds for students whose tickets have been voided because the student is not properly registered. Absolutely no refunds will be provided once the 2025-26 ice hockey season begins.
Returned checks will be assessed a $30 fee. If you do not honor your returned check promptly, your ticket order will be cancelled. You will be responsible for the $30 fee before you may purchase tickets to any Michigan sporting event.

Only tickets purchased directly from the Ticket Office are guaranteed to be valid. Individuals admitted with invalid tickets will be ejected. Everyone must have a ticket regardless of age.
