Michigan Roster and Bios for 2018 Winter Olympics

Six athletes with ties to the University of Michigan, including four-year ice hockey lettermen Andrew Ebbett (2003-06) and Chad Kolarik (2005-08), will compete in the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Together they represent two countries: United States (5) and Canada (1). Ice dancer Evan Bates is a three-time Olympian and captain of the USA figure skating team in Pyeongchang, while ice dancing "ShibSibs" Alex and Maia Shibutani are appearing in their second Olympics.

Resume: Michigan's team captain and MVP as a senior in 2005-06, Ebbett spent parts of eight seasons in the NHL playing for six teams. He posted career highs of 24 assists and 32 points for Anaheim in 2008-09 and scored 26 career goals. Since 2015-16 he has played for Swiss team SC Bern of the National League A.

Resume: Kolarik scored 30 goals during his All-America senior season for the Wolverines in 2007-08 when U-M reached the NCAA semifinals and finished 33-6-4. After playing six NHL games with Columbus and the New York Rangers, Kolarik played in Sweden, Russia and Switzerland before moving to his current team, Adler Mannheim, in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga.
