U-M Picked First in Big Ten Preseason Poll; Four Wolverines Earn Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan ice hockey team was selected to finish first in the 2026-27 Big Ten Preseason Poll, announced Wednesday (Sept. 23) by the conference.
The poll was voted on by the league's seven head coaches. It marks the first time the Wolverines have been picked to finish first in the Big Ten preseason poll since the 2015-16 season.

Four Wolverines earned Preseason All-Big Ten honors, led by junior forward Michael Hage, the lone unanimous first-team selection. Sophomore goaltender Jack Ivankovic and freshman defenseman Landon DuPont joined Hage on the first team, while senior forward Jayden Perron earned second-team honors.
