
Oral Earns CSC Academic All-America Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Mert Oral of the University of Michigan men's tennis team has been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America third team, the organization announced Wednesday (June 3).
A three-time Academic All-District selection, this is Oral's first time being named an Academic All-American.
Oral earned a degree in biomedical engineering in May. The Ann Arbor native earned his first ITA singles ranking this season, checking in at No. 123 in November. During the year, he put together a 16-15 singles mark that included a seven-match win streak. He added 12 doubles wins, including two over ranked pairs.
Michigan made its 10th consecutive and 43rd overall appearance in the NCAA Tournament with a 13-10 overall record.
