
U-M Sets Program 4x100m Relay Record, Green Qualifies for NCAA Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team closed out the NCAA East First Round on Saturday (May 30) at the UK Outdoor Track and Field Complex, setting one program record and qualifying one Wolverine for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
Sidney Green punched her ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the 400-meter hurdles, her first individual berth to the championships. Green ran a personal-best 55.86 seconds to finish fourth in her heat and ninth overall to advance on time, with the time coming in at No. 2 on the program performers list.
The 4x100-meter relay squad of Alyssa Bean, Amare Harlan, Myla Wilkes and Keyanna O'Tey finished 16th with a program-record time of 43.38, shaving 0.72 seconds off the previous standard.
Payton Smith, Green, Emmry Ross and Sydney Kuhn posted a time of 3:34.16 in the 4x400-meter relay to finish 19th. The time is No. 9 on the program performers list.
In the 400-meter dash, Smith finished 23rd (52.35), while Hannah Pricco finished 21st in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (10:13.38).
Abigail Russell threw 52.76 meters (173 feet, 1 inch) in the discus throw to finish 19th.
The Maize and Blue will close out the 2026 season at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore. Green will join Amare Harlan (long jump), Elizabeth Tapper (shot put) and Russell (shot put) at Hayward Field after the trio qualified on Thursday (May 28).
