
Wolverines to Continue Postseason at NCAA East First Round

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will continue postseason competition this week at the NCAA East Region First Round, hosted by Kentucky in Lexington, Ky. Competition will take place Thursday, May 28, and Saturday, May 30, at the UK Outdoor Track & Field Complex, with coverage airing on ESPN+ both days.

• Fourteen Wolverines will represent the Maize and Blue in 10 individual events and two relays. U-M's individual lineup includes: Keyanna O'Tey (200-meter dash), Myla Wilkes (200-meter dash), Payton Smith (400-meter dash), Emmry Ross (800-meter run), Samantha Hastie (1,500-meter run), Penelopea Gordon (1,500-meter run), Hannah Pricco (3,000-meter steeplechase), Sidney Green (400-meter hurdles), Sydney Kuhn (400-meter hurdles), Kourtney Rathke (pole vault), Amare Harlan (long jump), Elizabeth Tapper (shot put), Abigail Russell (shot put, discus throw), Trinity Franklin (shot put).
• Michigan's 4x100-meter relay lineup will feature Alyssa Bean, Harlan, Wilkes and O'Tey, while Bean, Smith, Trinity Henderson and Sydney Glee will compete in the 4x400-meter relay.
• The top 12 finishers in each individual event and the top 12 relay teams from each regional site will advance to the 2026 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships, scheduled for June 10-13 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.
• The shot put squad (Tapper, Franklin, Russell, Janey Campbell) is No. 2 in the NCAA and the 400-meter hurdles squad (Green, Kuhn, Glee, Bickerdt) comes in at No. 8.
• Michigan enters the meet with two nationally ranked event groups. The Wolverines' shot put squad of Tapper, Franklin, Russell and Campbell ranks No. 2 in the NCAA, while the 400-meter hurdles group of Green, Kuhn, Glee and Bickerdt is ranked No. 8 nationally.
Michigan leads the Great Lakes Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings after placing 12th at the 2026 Big Ten Outdoor Championships.
• Green earned silver in the 400-meter hurdles for the second consecutive year, clocking a time of 57.46.
• Ross ran 2:04.80 in the 800-meter run while Pricco ran the 3,000-meter steeplechase in 10:14.87, both finishing fourth.
• Rathke cleared a personal-best 4.13 meters (13-6 1/2) in the pole vault, good for 11th place and the No. 6 mark in program history.
• Thursday's competition begins with the long jump at 6 p.m., while Saturday opens with the discus throw at 1 p.m.
