MADISON, Wis. -- The University of Michigan softball team's series opener at Wisconsin was suspended in the third inning by lightning and further thunderstorms in the forecast on Friday (April 17) at the Badgers' Goodman Softball Complex.
The game will resume at noon CT on Saturday (April 18), immediately followed by game two of the series, which had been moved to today due to possible inclement weather over the weekend. The series finale remains unchanged, scheduled for noon CT on Sunday (April 19).
The game is tied, 3-3, in the middle of the third after both teams plated three runs in the first inning -- Michigan on a three-run homer from junior left fielder Ella Stephenson and Wisconsin on a solo homer and two-run double.
