
Wolverines Announce Five-Game Fall Ball Schedule

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan softball team, led by head coach Bonnie Tholl, announced the program's fall softball schedule for the 2025 season on Monday (Sept. 8). The schedule features five dates, with four being held at the Wilpon Complex, home of Alumni Field at Carol Hutchins Stadium.
The Maize and Blue will begin the fall slate at Toledo at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, before returning home to host Detroit Mercy at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28. The Wolverines will welcome Saginaw Valley State for a 1 p.m. contest on Oct. 5, then host back-to-back midweek games against Western Michigan (Oct. 7) and Bowling Green (Oct. 8); both games are slated for 6 p.m. starts. Admission is free to all fall exhibition games.
These contests will be the first opportunity for U-M softball fans to see the Wolverine lineup for the 2026 season, featuring 17 returning letterwinners. Team 49 also welcomes a freshman class of six, which features four nationally ranked prospects, as well as junior transfer pitcher Gabby Ellis.
The Wolverines graduated six seniors and graduate students from last season, including Big Ten Tournament MVP and NFCA All-Great Lakes Region first-team pitcher Lauren Derkowski. The Wolverines return their two other regional and Big Ten first-teamers in junior outfielder Jenissa Conway, also a 2025 NFCA Third Team All-American, and senior second baseman Indiana Langford.
