
Michigan Set for Gans Creek Classic at Missouri

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's cross country takes to the road once again, this time traveling to Columbia, Mo., for the Gans Creek Classic hosted by Missouri at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course on Friday (Sept. 26) at 9 a.m. CT.
Notes
• Twelve Wolverines will compete in the 6K Gold race while Sophie Cloutier will compete in the 6K Open race. Freshman Caroline Beiting is expected to make her debut for the Maize and Blue.
• U-M sits at No. 5 in the most recent USTFCCCA Regional Rankings.
• Michigan finished fifth at the Spartan Invite/B1G Preview, gathering 139 points.
• Sophomore Anjali Hocker Singh led the way with a 13th-place finish and a new personal best time of 20:51.3.
• Seniors Rylee Tolson (21:19.0) and Penelopea Gordon (21:22.0) were next for the Wolverines, finishing 30th and 33rd, respectively.
• Natalie VanOtteren made her season debut, placing 44th with a time of 21:39.0 to come 11 seconds shy of her personal best.
• After the Gans Creek Classic, the Wolverines will have a three-week break before making their way to Madison, Wis., for the Nuttycombe Invitational on Oct. 17.
