
Michigan Earns Ninth Straight NCAA Tournament Bid

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team will make its ninth consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament as the Wolverines earned an at-large bid to make their 34th NCAA appearance in program history.
Michigan (15-12) will face Cornell (15-7) in the first round in Austin, Texas, at UT's Texas Tennis Center on Friday (May 3). The Michigan/Cornell winner will face the winner of host No. 3 Texas and Montana on Saturday (May 4).
Cornell tied for second in the Ivy League, a conference without a tournament championship, with a 5-2 conference mark. The Big Red will make their third straight appearance in the NCAAs. Montana (19-6) was the runner-up at the Big Sky Tournament and just its second appearance in the NCAA, the first since 2014. Host Texas (25-4) has ties to Michigan with alum Nick Beaty serving as assistant coach with former coaches Bruce Berque and Benjamin Becker also on staff.
