U-M Set for GVSU Extra Weekend Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – The University of Michigan women's track and field team will return to the action at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet in Allendale, Mich., on Saturday (April 26). Field and track action will both begin at 1 p.m. with the long jump and the 400-meter hurdles.
Notes
• A trio of Wolverines will compete at the GVSU Lacrosse/Track & Field Stadium, with Maya Anderson (long jump), Kourtney Rathke (pole vault) and Meredith Soule (400-meter hurdles).
• The team split between a pair of meets last weekend, traveling to Winston-Salem, N.C. for the Wake Forest Invitational on April 17-18 and Gainesville, Fla. for the Tom Jones Invitational on April 18-19.
• Anderson and Soule last competed at the 44 Farms Team Invitational at Texas A&M on April 11-12. Anderson finished 26th in the long jump with a mark of 5.62m (18-5.25) to come just 0.05m short of her personal best, while Soule finished 18th in the 400-meter hurdles (1:03.22). Soule's time was just under two seconds shy of her personal-best time.
• Rathke competed at the Tom Jones Invitational last weekend, finishing 14th and clearing 3.95m (12-11.5) to tie her personal best. The freshman comes in at No. 8 on the program performers list.
