March 7 -- Vladislav Goldin
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award
» Vladislav Goldin was named a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award. The honor is presented annually to the nation's top center.
» Goldin is one of three Big Ten representatives among the finalists, which include Ryan Kalkbrenner (Creighton), Derik Queen (Maryland), Nate Bittle (Oregon) and Maxime Raynaud (Stanford).
» Goldin leads U-M with 16.3 points per game and 22 double-figure scoring games. He has 10 games with 20-plus points, including a career-best 36 at UCLA and 31 against Northwestern. With six games of 10-plus rebounds, including a career-high 15 against Maryland, Goldin has posted five double-doubles.
» Goldin is shooting a team-best 63.7 percent, second in the Big Ten and seventh nationally. He has a team-best 50 dunks (181 FGs) -- a third of his field goals. He is 9-for-25 from long range (36.0 percent) -- the first makes and attempts of his career. He made a career-high three triples against Northwestern.
» Goldin has 42 blocks, helping him to three straight seasons of 40-plus. He has 10 multi-block games and a season high of four blocks against Northwestern. He has added a career-best 36 assists.

March 6 -- Danny Wolf
Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year
» Danny Wolf was named a finalist for the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame's Karl Malone Power Forward of the Year. The honor is presented annually to the nation's top power forward.
» Wolf is the lone Big Ten representative among the finalists, which include Johni Broome (Auburn), Eric Dixon (Villanova), Yaxel Lendeborg (UAB), and JT Toppin (Texas Tech).
» Wolf is averaging a near double-double with 12.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game. Wolf has 21 double-figure games with six games of 20 points or more. Adding in 15 games of 10-plus rebounds, he has 12 double-doubles, which ranks second in the Big Ten.
» He is shooting a career-best 50.9 percent from the field and recorded his first 100-plus assist season, as he ranks second on U-m with 110 assists (3.7 apg). In November, he dished out a career-best nine vs. Arkansas (Dec. 10).
» Wolf has 42 blocks with two games with five blocks or more, including a career-high six at USC (Jan. 4). In the win over USC, Wolf had 21 points, 13 rebounds, seven assists, six blocks and two steals.

» Dusty May was named one of 20 finalists for the Jim Phelan National Coach of the Year presented by Collegeinsider.com
» Comprising the top-20 list includes Randy Bennett (Saint Mary's), Chris Beard (Ole Miss), Brad Brownell (Clemson), Greg Gard (Wisconsin), Dennis Gates (Missouri), Todd Golden (Florida), Penny Hardaway (Memphis), Tom Izzo (Michigan State), James Jones (Yale), Pat Kelsey (Louisville), Grant McCasland (Texas Tech), Ben McCollum (Drake), Eric Olen (San Diego), Bruce Pearl (Auburn), Richard Pitino (New Mexico), Rick Pitino (St. John's), Kelvin Sampson (Houston), Jon Scheyer (Duke), and Kevin Willard (Maryland)
» In his first season at U-M, May has helped the Wolverines reach 20 wins -- the 32nd in program history (109 seasons) and first in four seasons (2020-21; 23-5). May's 22 wins list him with the third most by a first-year U-M coach.
» May's 14 (14-5) Big Ten wins give him the most conference victories for a first-year Michigan head coach. May bettered Steve Fisher (12-6; 1989-90). With the 14 wins, the Wolverines have earned a double-bye for the Big Ten Tournament for the third time.
» The recipient of the annual award is determined by a 10-member voting committee, which consists of current and former head coaches and two senior staff members of collegeinsider.com. The 2025 award will be announced in San Antonio, Texas, the site of the Division I championship.
Jan. 13 -- Vladislav Goldin
Co-Big Ten Player of the Week
» Vladislav Goldin averaged 27.5 points, 7.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists, while shooting 76.0 percent (19-for-25) from the field, 78.9 percent (15-for-19) on free throws -- and added two more three-pointers (2-for-4) in wins over No. 22 UCLA and Washington.
» In a dominating performance at No. 22 UCLA, Goldin had a career-high 36 points. With a career-best 13 field goals, he added seven rebounds and two assists, while tying a career-high nine free throws. Goldin's 36 points were the most by a Wolverine since Daniel Horton had 39 (Illinois, Feb. 21, 2006).
» Goldin helped the Wolverines remain undefeated in the Big Ten with a win over Washington with 19 points, seven rebounds and three assists. He finished 6-for-7, added another three-pointer, and was 6-for-8 at the free-throw line.
» Goldin shared the honor with Iowa's Payton Sandford.
Dec. 9 -- Vladislav Goldin
Big Ten Player of the Week
» Vladislav Goldin was instrumental in helping Michigan open the early December Big Ten week with a pair of wins with an upset at No. 11 Wisconsin (67-64) and holding off Iowa's (87-85) late rally.
» For the week, he averaged 22.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 2.0 blocks, and shot 62.5 percent (15-for-24) from the field. He added 20 trips to the free throw line, shooting 70 percent (14-for-20).
» In U-M's third win in Madison since 2000, Goldin scored a career-best 24 points, adding five rebounds, three blocks, and a steal. He combined with "Area 50-1" partner Danny Wolf to score 44 of U-M's 67 points at the Kohl Center.
» The win over the 11th-ranked, and unbeaten, Badgers gave the Wolverines back-to-back wins over a nationally ranked team -- 22nd-ranked, and undefeated, Xavier, Fort Myers Tip-Off Championship.
» Closing out the week, Goldin posted a second 20-point game and his first U-M double-double (11th career) with 20 points and 11 rebounds against the Hawkeyes.

» Vladislav Goldin is one of 20 centers named to the preseason watch list for the 2025 Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Center of the Year presented by the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.
» The Top 20 Preseason Watch List: Jonas Aidoo (Arkansas), Robbie Avila (Saint Louis), Oumar Ballo (Indiana), Malik Dia (Ole Miss), Hunter Dickinson (Kansas), Dawson Garcia (Minnesota), Vlad Goldin (Michigan), Samson Johnson (UConn), Ryan Kalkbrenner (Creighton), Motiejus Krivas (Arizona), William Kyle III (UCLA), Eddie Lampkin (Syracuse), Khaman Maluach (Duke), Clifford Omoruyi (Alabama), Jayden Quaintance (Arizona State), Derik Queen (Maryland), Maxime Raynaud (Stanford), Efton Reid II (Wake Forest), Mitchell Saxen (Saint Mary's) and Amari Williams (Kentucky).
» The list will be narrowed to 10 players in early February, with the final five being announced in March. The award winner and presentation details will be revealed at the Final Four in San Antonio, Texas.
