ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan softball team and head coach Bonnie Tholl announced Tuesday (Dec. 2) the Wolverines' 2026 schedule, featuring 52 regular-season contests with 14 home games at the Wilpon Complex, home of Carol Hutchins Stadium and Alumni Field.
Michigan's 2026 slate also features 23 total games against 12 opponents who reached the NCAA Tournament last season, including an opening-weekend game against Women's College World Series participant Florida and a notable series at last year's Baton Rouge Regional winner Nebraska to kick off Big Ten play.
The Maize and Blue will again kick off the program's 49th year of intercollegiate play at the annual USF Tournament, scheduled for Feb. 6-8 in Tampa, Fla. Michigan has opened its season at South Florida every year since 2013, with the exception of the 2021 conference-only season.
Michigan will also travel to Houston for two games at Houston Christian (Feb. 13) and three more at the University of Houston tournament (Feb. 14-15) before traveling to Tempe, Ariz., for the Sun Devil Classic (Feb. 20-22), where they will twice face ASU over its five-game tournament slate. The Wolverines will spend their spring break in Virginia with 10 matchups over eight days. U-M will appear in tournaments in Charlottesville (Feb. 27- March 1) and Blacksburg (March 5-6) with single-game matchups at Liberty (March 3) and James Madison (March 4).
The Wolverines will kick off Big Ten play at Nebraska (March 13-15) before welcoming Washington to Ann Arbor from March 20-22 for the first-ever conference series between the two heralded programs. Michigan will also host Big Ten home series against Purdue (March 27-29), rival Ohio State (April 10-12) and Indiana (April 24-26).
Renewals for current season ticket holders will be made available beginning Jan. 5 and closing on the 16th. Due to overwhelming demand, no new season tickets will be available this spring. Flex packs will go on sale Jan. 27, while group and individual-game tickets will be made available on Feb. 3.
