ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 2-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team (9-1, 2-0 Big Ten) hosts undefeated No. 10 Wisconsin (6-0-2, 2-0-0 Big Ten) in a pair of conference games this weekend at Yost Ice Arena. The teams will face off at 7 p.m. on Friday (Nov. 7), then square off at 8 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 8). Friday's game will be streamed live on B1G+, while Saturday's contest will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.

• Michigan remains No. 2 in the USCHO poll for the second straight week and has five first-place votes as it enters the weekend with a 9-1 overall record. The Wolverines are off to their best start since the 2007-08 season.
• Wisconsin is off to a 6-0-2 start and is ranked No. 10 in the USCHO poll, most recently sweeping Minnesota to open conference play. The Badgers also have swept Minnesota State and Lindenwood and have two ties against Alaska Anchorage.
• The Wolverines swept Notre Dame on the road last weekend to open Big Ten play. Michigan won 5-3 on Friday (Oct. 31) after taking a 4-0 lead, and won a 2-1 overtime game on Saturday (Nov. 1). Michigan has won 10 of its last 11 meetings against the Irish.
• Michigan's power-play unit has returned to the No. 1 spot in the nation at 40.9 percent. The Wolverines have converted on 18 of 44 chances, with Will Horcoff leading the way with six power-play goals. He is second on the team in scoring with 14 points.
• The centers have positioned Michigan sixth nationally in faceoff win percentage. The squad has won 54.7 percent of its draws, with T.J. Hughes at 62.4 percent and more than 110 wins, personally ranked fifth nationally. He adds four goals and eight assists as the team's third-leading scorer.
• Ben Robertson leads all defensemen in scoring with 11 points through 10 games. He has 16 blocks, the second most on the team, and owns a +8 rating.
• Michigan is sporting the third-best scoring defense in the nation, holding teams to 1.60 goals per game. The best scoring defense in the nation, Wisconsin, has held opponents to 1.38 goals per game in eight contests.
