Notes
• Michigan is coming off a series split at No. 5 Penn State last weekend and is now 11-3 overall and remains No. 2 in this week's USCHO poll. The Wolverines are in a three-way tie for first place in the Big Ten standings with 11 points.
• Ohio State comes to Ann Arbor with a 5-5 record and is in sixth in the league standings with a 1-3 mark -- its lone win coming on the road at Wisconsin, with a pair of losses to Penn State at home.
• Michigan boasts a 98-53-16 record in the all-time series with Ohio State and split both series last year. The last time the Wolverines swept the Buckeyes at home was in February 2022.
• Sophomore Will Horcoff leads the nation in goals scored with 13 tallies to his credit. He adds five assists for 18 points. He has points in 11 of 14 games. He also leads the NCAA in game-winning goals with five.
• Senior T.J. Hughes and Michael Hage are tied for fourth in the nation in points with each chipping in 19. Hage has eight goals and 11 assists, while Hughes has six goals and 13 assists. Hughes also sits in fifth place in with 156 faceoffs won.
• With three players putting up more than one point per game, Michigan boasts the top-scoring offense in the nation. The squad is averaging five goals per game. They also lead the nation in offensive zone possession time at 8:43.
• Defensively, Ben Robertson, the Hockey Commissioners Association co-Defender of the Month in October, has 12 assists, while Dakoda Rhéaume-Mullen has 11 points on three goals and eight assists.
• Freshman Jack Ivankovic has played every minute in goal, with a .914 save percentage and a 2.08 goals-against average. He adds two shutouts and has allowed two goals or fewer in nine games.
• Another category Michigan is tops in is shorthanded goals, having scored seven this season. The program record is 22, coming in the 1996-97 season when the NCAA leader in shorthanded goals, John Madden, was a member of the squad. He finished his career with 23 shorties.
• Though Michigan has the third-best power play in the nation at 31.1 percent, the squad has also drawn the eighth-most penalties, averaging 18.43 penalty minutes per game.
