
U-M Set for Battle With Notre Dame, No. 15 Wisconsin

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team (0-0, 0-0 Big Ten) opens the dual-meet portion of its 2025-26 season with a trip to South Bend, Ind., for a matchup with Notre Dame (0-0) and No. 15-ranked Wisconsin (1-0, 0-0 Big Ten) on Friday (Oct. 10) at 3 p.m. inside Rolfs Aquatics Center.
Notes:
• Michigan started its season with the TEAM BE BETTER; Invitational on Sept. 26, honoring the memory of former teammate Ian Miskelley and raising awareness of mental health in college athletics.
• Junior Hannah Bellard leads the Big Ten in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:49.02 after winning the event at the TEAM BE BETTER; Invitational.
• Lexi Greenhawt paces the conference in the 50-yard backstroke with a time of 24.39 seconds and ranks fourth in the 50-yard freestyle with a mark of 22.87.
• Freshman Cecilia Howard boasts top-five conference marks in the 50-yard and 100-yard breaststroke with times of 29.77 and 1:03.63, respectively.
• In diving, freshman Aoi Kondo made a strong debut at the TEAM BE BETTER; Invitational by winning both the one-meter and three-meter events.
• Michigan will take on Notre Dame for the 19th time in program history, most recently defeating the Fighting Irish, 279-68, in 2024 inside Canham Natatorium.
• The Wolverines and Badgers will meet for the 24th time, with U-M leading the series 19-4. Last season, Michigan came out on top by a score of 238-115.
• Following Friday's meet, Michigan will return home to face Northwestern and UCLA on Oct. 25.
