EAST LANSING, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team had four players in action at the Michigan State Classic, held Oct. 25-27 at the MSU Indoor Tennis Center as fall action continued over the weekend.
Competing for Michigan at the event were Emily Sartz-Lunde (2-1), Jessica Bernales (2-1), Bayley Sheinin (1-2), and Ava Bruno (0-3). U-M faced players from Notre Dame, Xavier, Northwestern, and Michigan State in singles action over the three-day event.
In doubles, Sartz-Lunde and Bernales combined for a 2-0 record, with Bruno and Sheinin going 2-1.
Michigan is back in action in two weeks (Nov. 7-10), participating at the ITA Masters in San Diego and hosting the ITA Sectionals at the Varsity Tennis Center, with more NCAA Championships berths on the line.
