
Michigan to Travel to No. 12 Harvard, Host Washington

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 11-ranked University of Michigan men's tennis team (3-1) plays two matches this week, first taking to the road to take on No. 12 Harvard on Friday (Feb. 2) at 5 p.m. in Cambridge, Mass. The Wolverines then return home for a home dual against Washington on Sunday (Feb. 4) at 11 a.m. at the Varsity Tennis Center.
Notes
• Michigan moves up three places to No. 11 in this week's ITA coaches poll. The Wolverines went 2-0 this past week, sweeping Nevada 4-0 and defeating then No. 9 Stanford 4-3 to take the Ann Arbor ITA Kickoff.
• Michigan is 7-1 in the all-time series with Harvard, including a 4-3 win last year in Ann Arbor when Michigan was ranked No. 4 and the Crimson No. 18.
• Michigan is 7-2 in the series with Washington, last facing the Huskies in Seattle last year, a 5-2 Michigan victory.
• Patorn Hancahikul is on a six-match win streak that includes his match-clinching victory Sunday (Jan. 28) over his ranked opponent from Stanford.
• Jacob Bickersteth remains unbeaten in dual singles play, going 3-0 at No. 2. He is 12-3 overall in singles play this season and 3-2 when playing ranked opponents. Nino Ehrenschneider, Mert Oral and Nicholas Steiglehner are all 1-0 in dual singles. Bickersteth is the winningest player on the team with a 45-15 career record.
• Gavin Young and Ehrenschneider are ranked No. 31 as a pair and are 2-1 in dual matches (7-3 overall) on the season.
