
Michigan to Return Home for Big Ten Match Against Rutgers

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team (1-3-3) returns to U-M Soccer Stadium on Friday (Sept. 22) for the first time in four matches when it hosts Rutgers at 7 p.m. The match will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan is averaging 1.29 goals per game, scoring at least one goal in each of its first seven matches of the season, and averages 10.4 shots per game.
• Michael Leon has come into his junior season strong and healthy, making an appearance in all seven matches and recording a point in three of the last four games. Leon scored his first collegiate goal at Bowling Green and followed it up with an assist at Creighton. The midfielder added his second goal of the season against Maryland and ranks second for U-M with five points.
• Senior Bryce Blevins leads the Wolverines with six points after earning the assist on Michigan's goal at Oakland. Blevins has two goals and two assists for U-M and has started all seven matches in the midfield.
• Joao Paulo Ramos recorded his first collegiate goal at Oakland in his first collegiate start. Ramos put the ball into the upper-right corner of the goal on a one-timer. The freshman midfielder now has three points on the season after an assist against Cal Baptist.
• Freshman Alex Waggoner has scored two goals for the Wolverines, adding his second on the road at Creighton. The Santa Fe, N.M., native ranks third for Michigan with four points on the season and has a .727 shots-on-goal percentage, putting eight of his 11 shots on frame.
• Freshman Isaiah Goldson played his first minutes between the pipes at Creighton, coming on in the second half. The Oakville, Ontario, native stopped all four shots he faced in his first career appearance. Following his strong performance at Creighton, Goldson earned the start at Maryland in the Big Ten opener and made three saves and played all 90 minutes at Oakland with four saves.
