200 Freestyle Relay Earns All-America Honorable Mention on Day 2 of NCAAs

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. -- The University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team is in 24th place after finishing 15th in the 200-yard freestyle relay on the second night of the NCAA Championships (March 16) at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center.
The quartet of Lindsay Flynn, Claire Newman, Natalie Kan and Brady Kendall strung together a time of 1:28.60 in the 200-yard freestyle relay to earn All-America honorable mention honors.
In the prelims, Katie Crom had the best finish on the day with a 22nd-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle, touching the wall in a tie of 4:41.27. In the 200-yard IM, Letitia Sim finished 34th and Devon Kitchel finished 54th.
In the final individual event of the day, Lindsay Flynn sprinted to a 28th-place finish with a time of 22.25, while Natalie Kan finished 54th with a time of 22.71.
On the diving side, Kiarra Milligan finished 37th with a score of 241.05, in her first NCAA Championships appearance.
The Wolverines will return to the pool Friday (March 17) to begin day three at the NCAA Championships. Prelims at the Allan Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center start at 10 a.m., with finals action beginning at 6 p.m.
