WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- The University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team picked up five NCAA 'B' qualifying times on the first day of the Boiler-Make-It Last Chance Meet at Purdue's Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center on Saturday (Feb. 25).
Brady Kendall (52.27) and Natalie Kan (52.37) touched second and third, respectively, in the 100-yard butterfly, with each earning NCAA 'B' cut times. Claire Donan was the lone Wolverine to compete in the 100-yard breaststroke, and she finished first with an NCAA 'B' qualifying time of 1:01.17.
Casey Chung shot out of a cannon to touch second in the 100-yard backstroke, earning an NCAA 'B' cut time of 53.19. Megan Glass finished first the 100-yard freestyle race with an NCAA 'B' cut time of 49.06, while Abbey Ketslakh finished second with a time of 49.71.
In the 500-yard freestyle, Kathryn Shanley finished second with a time of 4:46.23.
The Wolverines will return to the pool Sunday (Feb. 25) for the second day of the Boiler-Make-It Last Chance Meet starting at 10 a.m.
