
Three Michigan Men Receive All-Big Ten Recognition

ROSEMONT, Ill. -- Graduate students Tom Brady and Owen MacKenzie and sophomore Caleb Jarema of the University of Michigan men's cross country team received All-Big Ten accolades, the conference announced Wednesday (Nov. 1).
Brady earned All-Big Ten first team honors with MacKenzie and Jarema garnering second-team nods. Jarema also took home Michigan's Big Ten Sportsmanship Award.
Brady finished third at the Big Ten Championships with a time of 24:18.9 to earn his second career conference award. Brady has been Michigan's top runner in each of the four races he has competed in this season.
In his conference championships debut, MacKenzie posted a time of 24:36.9 to finish eighth and earn a second-team All-Big Ten accolade. After finishing second overall in the B race at the Joe Piane Notre Dame Invite on Sept. 29, MacKenzie earned a spot on the Big Ten roster and finished second on the team.
Jarema rounds out the conference award winners for the Wolverines, garnering All-Big Ten second team honors and earning the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award, an award given to individuals who gave set themselves apart through hard work, sportsmanship and honorable behavior. He finished 11th with a time of 24:39.0 at the Big Ten Championships.
The Wolverines will be back in action on Nov. 10 when they return to Madison, Wis., for the NCAA Great Lakes Regional.
