ATLANTA, Ga. -- The University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team opened the 2022 NCAA Championships with two relay teams competing on Wednesday (March 16) at the McAuley Aquatic Center.
The relay team of Maggie MacNeil, Letitia Sim, Olivia Carter, and Lindsay Flynn started off the NCAA Championships for the Wolverines on a high note. The quartet raced to a sixth-place finish in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:34.53, good for All-America honors.
In the second relay of the night, Megan Glass, Kathryn Ackerman, Victoria Kwan, and Olivia Carter finished 17th in the 800 freestyle relay with a time of 7:02.07, just missing out on points for the Wolverines.
The NCAA Championships begin in full force Thursday (March 17) at the McAuley Aquatic Center with preliminaries starting at 10 a.m. and finals at 6 p.m. Both events will be streamed live on ESPN3.
