
U-M Divers Wrap Up Competition at Zone C Championships

LEXINGTON, Ky. -- Members of the University of Michigan diving team wrapped up competition at the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Tuesday (March 9) at the Lancaster Aquatic Center. The women's divers were on platform, while the men's divers were on one-meter.
Women
Both of the divers in action on Tuesday fell short of qualifying for the NCAA Championships. Sophomore Lucy Hogan came closest in the packed field, finishing 12th (453.25). Senior Christy Cutshaw was right behind her in 13th (451.40). Ten qualifying spots were up for grabs.
Men
For the men, seven qualifying spots were awarded. Senior Chris Canning was the lone diver representing the Wolverines, finishing 14th (597.70).
Senior Ross Todd did not dive on Tuesday. He qualified for the NCAA Championships on platform Monday (March 8).
The season will conclude at the NCAA Championships in Greensboro, N.C. The women's meet begins next Wednesday through Saturday (March 17-20), while the men will participate the following week (March 24-27). Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. with finals following at 6 p.m. each night.
