The Wolverines earned their second win of the season and their first road victory of the year.
Sophomore Hunter Dickinson notched his seventh career double-double with 11 points, including his first career three-pointer, and 10 rebounds. Fifth-year senior Eli Brooks had a team-high 15 points with three three-pointers and went 4-for-7 shooting from the field, and added three rebounds and two assists, while DeVante' Jones had 10 points with eight rebounds and team-best five helpers.
Freshman Caleb Houstan notched his second career double-digit scoring effort with 13 points, including three three-pointers, and freshman Kobe Bufkin added eight points, four rebounds and two steals off the bench. Dickinson came out of the gate in a flurry, scoring the first seven points of the game, including dropping his first career three-pointer. Michigan (2-0) fired off an 8-0 run capped off with a Brooks three-pointer in transition to give the Wolverines a 21-7 advantage into the second media break of the half.
U-M continued to push the pace, extending the run to 15-2 and putting Prairie View A&M (0-3) on ice for more than two minutes, to take a 28-11 lead with just over eight minutes to play in the opening stanza. The Wolverine defense forced the Panthers into five straight turnovers and closed out the half on 6-for-7 shooting to take a comfortable 42-23 lead into the halftime break.

Michigan had a challenging time scoring for more than five minutes, but also was able to make defensive stops as it maintained at least a 24-point lead before Bufkin dropped U-M's ninth triple of the night to give the Wolverines a 68-41 advantage with 6:15 left to play.
