
Simpson Named to NABC All-District Second Team

Senior guard Zavier Simpson of the University of Michigan men's basketball team was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) All-District second team on Monday (March 23). He was one of 10 Big Ten players named to the District 7 list overall.
Simpson averaged a career-best 12.9 points per game this season, led the Big Ten in assists per game (7.9) and dished out an NCAA-leading 236 assists. On Feb. 19, he became the fourth player in program history to collect 1,000 points (1,073) and 500 assists (667) in a career, joining Gary Grant (1985-88), Rumeal Robinson (1988-90) and Antoine Joubert (1984-87).
The all-district nod is the second for Simpson this season as he was named to the U.S. Basketball Writers Association All-District V team on March 10.
