ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (15-7, 6-5 B1G) will embark on a stretch of four games in 10 days, first traveling to Minnesota to take on the Gophers (15-8, 5-7 B1G) Monday night (Feb. 10). The game is set for 6 p.m. CST and can be seen live on the Big Ten Network.
• Michigan has won two straight games to get above .500 in conference play for the first time since sporting a 2-1 mark after a 20-point win over Michigan State (Jan. 5). U-M is tied for sixth place in the conference with a 6-5 record.
• Michigan has been bitten by the injury bug recently, providing the opportunity for freshman Maddie Nolan to start the first game of her career against Purdue (Feb. 6). Nolan responded with two points, six boards, four blocks and an assist in 28 minutes of action. Michigan dressed just nine players in the win over Purdue, with seven seeing the court. • Sophomore Amy Dilk has totaled 14 assists over the last two games, highlighted by a season-high eight helpers against Purdue (Feb. 6). On the season, Dilk is averaging 4.2 assists per game to rank sixth in the Big Ten. The sophomore is up to 230 dimes for her career, already ranking 20th in Michigan history.
• For the third time this season, a pair of teammates record a double-double in the same game when Naz Hillmon and Akienreh Johnson each produced a double dip against Purdue (Feb. 6). Hillmon went for 19 points and 12 rebounds, with Johnson recording the second double-double of her career with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Hillmon now has eight double-doubles on the season, with Johnson in second on the team with two. Kayla Robbins and Amy Dilk each have one.
• Monday's game will feature the top two rebounders in the Big Ten in Naz Hillmon and Taiye Bello, who is tops in the conference, grabbing 10.3 boards per game to Hillmon's second-place 9.0 boards per contest. Hillmon leads the conference in offensive rebounds (97), with Bello ranking second (96).
• Minnesota (15-8, 5-7 B1G) is coming off a 73-64 win at Wisconsin on Thursday (Feb. 6). The Golden Gophers are averaging 72.6 points per game on 40.7 percent shooting while allowing 64.1 points per game on 40.4 percent shooting. Minnesota has four players averaging double-digit points per game in Taiye Bello (12.1 ppg, 10.3 rpg), Gadiva Hubbard (11.6 ppg), Sara Scalia (11.3 ppg) and Jasmine Powell (10.7 ppg). Minnesota enters the game on a three-game win streak.
