ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan athletic department announced Tuesday (Dec. 8) that the men's basketball program will host Toledo on Wednesday (Dec. 9) at 6 p.m. at Crisler Center. The game will be broadcast live on FS1.
U-M originally was scheduled to host North Carolina State on Wednesday in an ACC/Big Ten Challenge contest, but the game was postponed due to COVID-19 related concerns within the Wolfpack program.
Michigan leads 13-8 in the all-time series against Toledo, and the Wolverines will meet the Rockets for the first time since 1983 -- a 55-52 U-M victory on Nov. 26. Overall, U-M holds a 5-2 advantage over Toledo in home games. The Rockets hosted 11 of the first 12 meetings between the two schools from 1919-70. The Maize and Blue then swapped and hosted six of the last eight contests between 1971-83.
The Wolverines have started a perfect 4-0 this season, including wins over two other Mid-American Conference schools -- Bowling Green (96-82 on Nov. 25) and Ball State (85-65 on Dec. 2).
