
Postgame Notes: Penn State 27, Michigan 17

• Michigan dropped its fourth contest this year, falling to 2-4 overall. U-M fell to 14-10 in the all-time series against Penn State, including 8-4 in games vs. PSU at Michigan Stadium.
• Sophomore Cade McNamara made his first career start at quarterback but battled with injury, completing 12-of-25 passes for 91 yards. Junior quarterback Joe Milton also earned several snaps, completing 1-of-3 passes for 21 yards and rushing the ball twice for eight yards.
• Freshman wide receiver A.J. Henning and senior linebacker Adam Shibley also made their first career starts.
• Senior defensive end Kwity Paye returned to the lineup and contributed three tackles.
• Michigan played without the services of the following players due to injury: left tackle Ryan Hayes, right tackle Jalen Mayfield, center Andrew Vastardis, wide receiver Giles Jackson, linebacker Cameron McGrone and kicker Quinn Nordin.
• Junior running back Hassan Haskins recorded his third career multi-touchdown game, and second of the season, on two-yard scoring rushes in the first and fourth quarters. He owns six touchdowns this season and 10 in his career. His 60-yard run earlier on the first-quarter scoring drive was his second of 60 or more yards this season and the second longest of his career behind a 66-yard rush at Minnesota this year.
• Haskins carried the ball 17 times for 101 yards -- his fourth career 100-yard rushing performance and second in a row after posting 110 rushing yards at Rutgers (Nov. 21). His career best is 149 yards against Notre Dame last season.
• Freshman wide receiver A.J. Henning tallied multiple receptions for the first time in his collegiate career, posting three catches for a career-best 31 yards, including a career-long 28-yard catch in the third quarter. His previous best was 15 yards against Michigan State.
• Freshman running back Blake Corum posted a career-best 27 rushing yards on three carries, including a 15-yard run in the fourth quarter. His previous best was 26 rushing yards against Minnesota.
• Senior linebacker Josh Ross led the Wolverines with a career-best 12 tackles. It was his second straight game with double-digit tackles, previously tallying 11 at Rutgers.
• Junior defensive lineman Taylor Upshaw earned his first collegiate sack, for a loss of six yards, in the third quarter. It was his third TFL this season and second in as many games.
• Junior kicker Jake Moody made his first field goal of the season for 40 yards in the third quarter. It was the third 40-yard field goal of his career, adding to a 43-yarder against Army (2019) and a career-long 48-yarder against Florida (2018).
