• Michigan's two-game win streak against Michigan State was snapped as the Wolverines fell to 71-37-5 in the all-time series against the Spartans and 38-28-2 in the battle for the Paul Bunyan Trophy since 1953.
• The Wolverines also fell to 117-19-3 all-time in home openers.
• Four Wolverines made their collegiate debuts: freshman defensive lineman Jaylen Harrell, freshman linebacker Nikhai Hill-Green, sophomore defensive back Jalen Perry and junior linebacker Edward Warinner.
• Junior quarterback Joe Milton earned career highs in most passing categories, including attempts (51), completions (32) and passing yards (300). His previous highs -- 22 attempts, 15 completions and 225 yards -- all came last weekend at Minnesota.
• Freshman running back Blake Corum recorded the first and second touchdowns of his collegiate career on an eight-yard rush in the first quarter and a one-yard rush in the third quarter. He is the second Wolverine running back to post a multi-touchdown effort in as many games this season; junior running back Hassan Haskins rushed for 82 yards and two touchdowns last Saturday at Minnesota.
• Haskins posted his seventh career touchdown on a two-yard run in the fourth quarter. He owns three touchdowns already this season.
• Freshman wide receiver Roman Wilson posted career highs with four catches and 67 receiving yards, including a career-long 26-yard catch in the second quarter. His previous long was an 18-yard catch at Minnesota.
• Freshman wide receiver A.J. Henning also posted a career long with a 15-yard reception in the first quarter, which also represents a career high in receiving yards. His previous high was 14 at Minnesota.
• Senior linebacker Josh Ross and senior defensive back Brad Hawkins led the Wolverine defense with eight tackles apiece. Ross also led U-M last weekend with a career-best nine tackles at Minnesota.
• Senior linebacker Adam Shibley entered in the second quarter, after junior linebacker Cameron McGrone exited with injury, and posted a career-high seven tackles, including his first collegiate tackle-for-loss. Shibley came into the game with just one solo tackle and one assisted in his career.
• Graduate student kicker Quinn Nordin was successful on his first field-goal attempt of the season for 23 yards in the second quarter. It was the 41st field goal of Nordin's career. He ranks fifth among Michigan's all-time leaders, four shy of the fourth spot, held by Brendan Gibbons (45, 2010-13).
• Senior punter Brad Robbins made his season debut -- and in a new jersey number (91) -- and posted a 42-yard punting average on four punts.
• Today's official attendance of 615 represents the smallest football crowd in Michigan Stadium history.
