Isaac Harding (Sept. 5)
Big Ten Athlete of the Week -- For the second season in a row, Isaac Harding led the Wolverines in their season opener with a runner-up finish -- first among collegians, as only professional Craig Huffer beat him to the line -- at the Michigan Open last Friday (Aug. 30). The Rockford High School graduate clocked 15:05.3 over the five-kilometer (3.11-mile) Hudson Mills Metropark course in Dexter, Mich., to lead a group of nine in-uniform Michigan runners through the line in under 15:20. Harding's time is the fastest at the Michigan Open by a collegian since 2010, when the meet was first held at Hudson Mills. This is his first career Big Ten Athlete of the Week honor. » Big Ten Release
