• Michigan has faced four ranked opponents this season -- No. 13 Wisconsin, No. 14 Iowa, No. 7 Penn State and No. 8 Notre Dame -- with No. 24 Indiana and No. 3 Ohio State remaining on the schedule after facing rival Michigan State.
• The Wolverines have a 2-2 record against ranked teams in 2019.
• U-M has been ranked for all but eight contests during coach Jim Harbaugh's tenure (61 games). The Wolverines were not ranked the first four games in 2015 and four games in 2017.
Game Notes Nuggets
• Forty-eight players on the U-M roster are natives of the Great Lakes State, the most of any single state.
• The Michigan offense has racked up more than 400 yards in three of the last four weeks and five games overall. The Wolverines average 389.9 yards per game, with 38 points or more in four of the last six.
• The 2.0 first-half sacks Josh Uche had against Maryland gave him two games this year and five games in his career with multiple sacks. He has 6.0 in the last three weeks and leads the U-M defense with 7.5 this year. He has 17.5 TFLs and 14.5 sacks in the last 21 games, dating to last season.
• Lavert Hill had two pass breakups against Notre Dame and added another at Maryland, bringing him to a team-leading eight this season and 24 in his career. The career total ties him for 10th in Michigan history with Jarret Irons and Morgan Trent.
• Three players have five PBUs on the season: Josh Metellus (two interceptions), Ambry Thomas (two interceptions) and defensive lineman Aidan Hutchinson. Hutchinson has three breakups in his last four games and has shown a knack for knocking down passes at the line of scrimmage.
• Jordan Glasgow is one of 12 semifinalists for the 35th annual Butkus Trophy, presented to college football's top linebacker. Finalists will be named on Nov. 25 with the winner selected on or before Dec. 10. Glasgow is having a career season for Michigan's defense with 63 tackles, 4.5 tackles for loss, 4.0 sacks, one pass breakup and one fumble recovery.

Here are his highlights of the season, up to this point. #GoBlue pic.twitter.com/v8hLOrdaZ9
• Wide receiver Nico Collins caught a 51-yard reception at Maryland, giving him six games this year with at least one catch of 20 yards or longer, and three games with a catch of 40 yards or more. Collins has a catch of 20-plus yards in 15 of 25 career games played.
• Freshman running back Zach Charbonnet is up to 559 yards rushing this season. That figure ranks Charbonnet fifth for single-season rushing all-time among Michigan's freshman running backs.
• Charbonnet's two rushing touchdowns against the Terps helped him set a new freshman record at Michigan with 11 total touchdowns this season, two more than Mike Hart's nine in 2004 and Tyrone Wheatley's nine in 1991. In fact, only Karan Higdon (2017) has matched that touchdown total among Wolverines to play under Jim Harbaugh.
• After allowing 28 points off turnovers in weeks one and two, U-M has allowed opponents to score 15 points off turnovers in the last seven games. The Wolverines have forced multiple turnovers in three of the last five games -- and five overall this season -- while turning the ball over just four times in those same five weeks.
• The Wolverine defense has been on a roll. U-M has held four of its last six opponents under 65 yards rushing. No team has cracked 130 yards on the ground since Wisconsin, and no team has cracked 200 yards through the air since Iowa.
• Overall, opponents have combined for 388 yards on 208 carries in the last six games (1.86 yards per carry). U-M has allowed 10 touchdowns and forced 10 turnovers in that span, forcing 48 total punts, an average of eight per game.
• Maryland entered the contest two Saturdays ago ranked No. 2 in the Big Ten in rushes of 30-plus yards with 12, but U-M limited the effectiveness of the Terps' run game, allowing a long run of 16 yards. U-M has only allowed one run longer than 20 yards across the last 24 quarters of football.
• The Terps also had the longest streak in the nation of games with at least one turnover forced (20), but U-M played turnover-free ball to end that pattern.
