• Former All-Big Ten golfer Brianna Broderick holds U-M's top finish at the Country Club of Landfall, tying for third in 2006 with a 222 (72-76-74) tally. In fact, U-M had a pair of top-10 individuals as Ali Stinson tied for eighth at 226 (77-76-73).
• Last year, Ashley Lau led a pair of Wolverines with top 25 individuals as she tied for 11th (221) and Elodie Van Dievoet tied for 24th (225).

Wolverine Bites
• The Landfall Tradition will mark the third straight event for Michigan against the nation's best. First, U-M faced 10 top-25 teams in a field of 15 at the Windy City Collegiate Championship (Sept. 30-Oct. 1). The Wolverines next faced an 18-team field that featured 13 teams ranked in the top 50 at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational (Oct. 11-13). This weekend, the Maize and Blue head to Wilmington, North Carolina, and will compete against 17 other teams ranked in the top-100 -- including 13 ranked among the top 50. Michigan is ranked No. 40 by Golfweek and No. 43 in the Golfstat rankings.
• It has been quite the start for freshman Hailey Borja. After posting a 217 (+1) total in her collegiate debut at the Glass City Invitational, she repeated the effort with a 217 (+1) total to lead the Wolverines at the Windy City Collegiate Championship. In all, she has posted scores of par of better in six of her nine rounds this season, with a career-low 71 (-1) in her first collegiate round. She averages 217.33 per 54-hole event and leads U-M with a 72.44 per-round average.
• Borja's fourth-place tie at the Glass City Invitational is the best opening tournament finish for a U-M freshman since 1995, when Sharon Park finished fifth in her collegiate debut at the Spartan Invitational (Sept. 16-17), exactly 24 years prior to Borja's performance.
• In her first career start, freshman Anika Dy fired an opening career-low 70 (-2) at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. Using that momentum, she led the Wolverines for the first time with a tie for 27th thanks to a 217 (+1) tally.
• Freshman Mikaela Schulz was named Big Ten Golfer of the Week after she won the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational with a 212 (-4) tally in her collegiate debut. Playing as an individual, Schulz bogeyed her first career hole before she rattled off seven birdies for a first-round 68 (-4), tying the 10th-lowest round in U-M history. She followed with back-to-back scores of 72 to claim the title over teammate Ashley Kim (214, -2). It was the first time Schulz competed after she underwent summer wrist surgery.
• Adding in the individual win for Schulz at the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational, Michigan has been led by a freshman in three of its four fall events. The freshman class is 1-2-3 in the scoring average race -- Borja (72.44; three events), Schulz (73.50; two events) and Dy (73.56; three events).
• Seven of the nine Wolverines have recorded a sub-par round tally this season. Schulz owns the team's season low with a 68 (-4) in her first collegiate round at the Shirley Spork EMU Invitational. Overall, Dy and Trombetta leads U-M with three apiece.
• In the season opener, the Wolverines posted a team runner-up finish with an 874 54-hole total at the Glass City Invitational. Sophomore Sophia Trombetta led the Wolverines for the first time in her U-M career as she finished third with a career-low 216 (E) tally, which topped her prior best by 11 shots. Borja tied for fourth (217) in her collegiate debut, and senior Hannah Ghelfi helped give U-M three top-10 finishers as she tied for ninth (220).
