Swimming & Diving Opens 2018-19 Season with Oakland, Miami & Relay Meet

The University of Michigan men's and women's swimming and diving programs open the 2018-19 season with a two-day home meet at Canham Natatorium, playing host to Oakland and Miami (Ohio) on Friday (Sept. 28) at 5 p.m., and a relay-only exhibition meet to raise awareness for JDRF on Saturday (Sept. 29) at 10:30 a.m. Admission is free both days.
In addition, 10-time Olympic medalist Gary Hall Jr. is scheduled to be in attendance. Throughout Saturday's session, Hall, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes while training for the 2000 Olympics, will speak to the crowd about living and competing with diabetes.
