WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- University of Michigan men's tennis senior Runhao Hua saw his run in the NCAA Singles Championship come to a close in the Round of 16, falling to Alabama's Mazen Osama, 6-1, 6-4, Friday morning (May 25) at the Wake Forest Tennis Complex.
After dropping the first set, 1-6, Hua battlied back from a 3-5 deficit in the second set to cut the score to 4-5 before Osama, a No. 9-16 seed, closed out the match.
Hua concludes his memorable senior season with a 25-8 record while ending his career in the maize and blue with a 76-33 mark. A first team All-Big Ten honoree, Hua became the 27th member of the "20-20 club" in Michigan men's tennis history for winning at least 20 singles and doubles matches in a season.
