
Maize and Blue to Host Maryland on Senior Night

» Michigan will complete the regular season on Thursday (Feb. 22) when they host No. 13 Maryland at Crisler Center.
» U-M will honor the senior duo of Jillian Dunston and Katelynn Flaherty prior to the game as part of Senior Night. The ceremony will begin at approximately 5:45 p.m.
» The Wolverines are in search of their seventh season with double-digit Big Ten wins since regular-season play began during the 1983-84 season.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (20-8, 9-6 B1G) will wrap up the regular season on Thursday (Feb. 22), when they host No. 13-ranked Maryland (22-5, 11-3 B1G) at Crisler Center. Tip is set for 6 p.m. and the game can be seen live on Big Ten Network.
• Sophomore Akienreh Johnson made the most of her extended minutes at Minnesota in Michigan's last game (Feb. 14), when she recorded a career-high 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting and grabbing seven boards. She played 26 minutes in the contest, also a career high. Johnson is the seventh Wolverine to score in double figures this season.
• For the first time all season, Michigan had a change in its starting lineup after freshman Hailey Brown was injured at Michigan State (Feb. 11). Fellow classmate Deja Church was inserted into the starting lineup and responded with 10 points, five rebounds and four assists in a career-high 38 minutes of action. She joins Brown, Nicole Munger, Hallie Thome and Katelynn Flaherty as current Wolverines to earn a start during their freshman season.
• Senior Katelynn Flaherty has rewritten the Michigan record book since her arrival in Ann Arbor. She has played in all 135 games over the last four years, starting 108. Flaherty is the all-time leading scorer at Michigan -- man or woman -- with 2,683 points, good for a 19.9 points-per-game average. She is fifth all-time in the Big Ten in scoring and second all-time in three-pointers made (389). She holds nearly every Michigan offensive record and will graduate this May with a degree in psychology.
• Senior Jillian Dunston has been a fixture in the Michigan lineup since her freshman season; she has missed just two games has appeared in 133 contests. A starter in the last 74 games, Dunston has career averages of 3.9 points and 6.2 rebounds per game. Known for her energy and rebounding, Dunston is up to fourth all-time at U-M in career rebounds with 826. Dunston joins Katelynn Flaherty as one of six players in program history to appear in at least 130 career games. Dunston will graduate this May with a degree in sport management.
• No. 13 Maryland (22-5, 11-3 B1G) enters the contest with back-to-back losses to Purdue and Minnesota. The Terrapins feature five active double-figure scorers in Kaila Charles (17.8 ppg), Eleanna Christinaki (13.5 ppg), Stephanie Jones (11.6 ppg), Kristen Confroy (10.3 ppg) and Brianna Fraser (10.0 ppg). The Terps are averaging 82.5 points per game on 46.2 percent shooting while giving up 63.6 points per contest on 38.5 percent shooting. Michigan and Maryland have only met five times in school history, four as Big Ten opponents. U-M is in search of its first win over Maryland.
