Adam Coon (Feb. 13)
Big Ten Wrestler of the Week -- Graduate student Adam Coon earned two weekend wins to stay undefeated (22-0) on the season; none bigger than his 3-1 decision over No. 1 Kyle Snyder, a two-time NCAA champion, Olympic champion and two-time world champion, in the final bout on Sunday night. Coon's first-period takedown proved the difference. It was Snyder's first loss since 2015. Coon also earned a first-period fall against MSU's Christian Rebottaro - his ninth pin of the season. » Big Ten Release
Kevin Beazley (Jan. 30)
Big Ten Wrestler of the Week -- Graduate student Kevin Beazley used a pair of second-period takedowns to rally to a 6-5 decision win against Iowa's fifth-ranked Cash Wilcke and, with one match remaining, put the Wolverines in the driver's seat to knock off the fourth-ranked Hawkeyes inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Michigan claimed each of the final four matches and won the road dual, 19-17, in the final bout -- its first lead of the evening. » Big Ten Release
Alec Pantaleo (Dec. 5)
Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week -- Senior/junior Alec Pantaleo captured the 157-pound title at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational (Dec. 1-2) with a 5-0 record, including two bonus wins and three wins over nationally ranked opponents -- two against Big Ten competition. He scored four takedowns to defeat Nebraska's fourth-ranked Tyler Berger, 9-3, in the semifinals before similarly cruising past Ohio State's sixth-ranked Micah Jordan, 10-3, in the championship bout behind two takedowns and a four-point near fall. » Big Ten Release | » Watch: Alec Pantaleo Named B1G Co-Wrestler of the Week
Adam Coon (Nov. 14)
Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week -- Graduate student Adam Coon defeated Arizona State's fourth-ranked Tanner Hall, 5-2, in the Wolverines' dual-meet opener last Friday night (Nov. 10). He earned the bulk of his points on a four-point throw late in the first period en route to his second win over a ranked opponent this season. Coon, who improved to 4-0 in his return after redshirting last season with injury, shared the Big Ten honor with Ohio State's Te'Shan Campbell. » Big Ten Release
